Our trip to the Poconos

This year we went to the Poconos.
On Sunday we went to the Hazleton RPCNA . They were having a church lunch that day and even though we were 9 strong they assured us they had plenty to go around. Kathie's friends the Bartels were visiting from NC that week so we got an opportunity to meet with them again. It was a wondeful afternoon.

On Tuesday we went to Knoebels I would say it's the best amusement park I think I have ever been to. There is no admission, you can but tickes or you can buy a wristband. Needless to say I didn't go on any rides, Ben Esther Andy Emy and Nikki went on enough rides for everybody.
On Thursday we went to Bushkill Falls WOW! how beautiful and amazing. We only did the medium trail not the long one so we didn't get to see all of the falls, but what we saw were beautiful!!

Andy has struggled a bit this year with the pitching machine but he is starting to get the hang of it.

Jeannette's Graduation

On Saturday Jeannette graduated from Bloomsburg with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.

I haven't posted for a long time. I wish I could say it was because I've been busy unpacking, but truth be told I still have a lot of unpacking to do. It just seems so overwhelming. I do a little bit at a time and I figure by the time I'm 40 maybe I'll be done. I now have grass in my back yard. My neighbor has been removing the gravel the last owner had put in the back yard, 6:30 this morning I heard him out there shoveling, and when I got home from work today he was in the back laying sod. I'm very excited about the grass, Phet on the other hand sees more grass to cut.

I bought a house!

I bought a house 2 doors up from Joanne and Phet. I make settlement on March 4th. I can hardly believe it. I can't wait to move in and get out of my apartment.

Joe and Laura's Wedding

Joe and Laura were married this past Saturday in Ogdensburg NY. Ogdensburg is north of Lake Ontario on the St. Lawrence River. OnFriday morning Debbie, Jeannette Laura, Elizabeth, Joanne, Andrew and I all packed into the car in the rain and started out on our trip up north. During the entire drive it was either raining sleeting or freezing rain. It was supposed to take about 6 1/2 hours but because of the bad weather it took about 9. I spent most of the trip up knitting so I was unaware of the conditions, but as it started getting dark I had to put my knitting away. Andrew had no trouble but if I had had to drive, I wouldn't have. The wedding was beautiful the reception was lovely, the food was in abundance. Here are some pictures from Joe and Laura's wedding.
